Mental illness, just like any other disease, is not something anybody chooses to live with or without. Sometimes recovery is possible when it comes to mental illness, but sometimes it is not; sometimes mental illness seems to be benign, only to metastasize and turn malignant unexpectedly weeks later. Medication and other medical support can help to alleviate the worst of the symptoms, but relapse or recurrence is always a hazard. THIS CONDITION IS TERMINAL is an exploration of art as a therapeutic and psychological tool as well as a reminder to the mentally ill that they are never alone in this world, even if they feel isolated or silenced by their condition.
